The LV 9506-S RCS Demonstration Add-On is used in conjunction with the LV 8092 Antenna Training and Measuring System to allow users to observe the near-field or far-field relative radar cross-section of targets. The RCS kit can be used either for quasi-monostatic or bistatic RCS measurements.

The system is essentially composed of a modified LV 9506 Antenna Positioner, an additional 2 meter RF cable, a 20x20 cm flat plate target and a 14x10x10x20 cm prism target.

RCS patterns of different targets are acquired, displayed and stored using Lab-Volt's LVDAM-ANT software. Users can observe the RCS of different target forms such as flat plates, cylinders and complex objects.
